An Answer (a poem)

An Answer. ( by Heather.)

I cannot run and I cannot hide…
I search, I question… but no answer comes.
Uncertainty and fear unleashed in this time of now,
I feel bereft and all alone.

The shift of the ages is my sanctity…
Slowly the mind confronts all that I have learned.
And finds it profoundly wanting…
The depth of need… unfathomable.

“Soon, very soon” is all that I hear.
Do you hear it?
Or is it the feeling that stirs within my soul?
A sound beyond time speaking...listening…

A tremble…
The leaves whispering .
The waves on their pounding path… rhythmically dancing,
The stars twinkling in the heaven… flaring…fading.

Is it the whisper in the turn of the seasons?
Or the soft whirring as the mighty cogs of creation slow.
.
Or maybe…Can it be?… a change so uplifting
That Angels celebrate in chorus
And the heart of the Universe skips a beat?

Standing alone, gazing…
Allowing my eyes to follow the slight curve
Of the Earth as it rises to meet the sky…
I can only wonder and surmise…
Who? What? Where? Why?

‘Does it really matter?’
I ask the Wind as it blows and blusters.
The grass wavering and dancing,
The clouds so white in the clear blue sky…

At last some peace…
At last an answer….
Do you hear it?
“ Miracles are made by God alone.
Only miracles can save you…
Trust ME.”

That was a wonderful poem heather, Incredibly vivid and captivated me the more it went. I especially love your descriptions of nature. Waves, leaves whispering, it's a truly wonderful piece that wakes up the senses. Thank-you for posting this, I found it incredibly stimulating Very Happy
